A beautiful country yet to readjust to "western manners"...
During 3 weeks we visited most of the island - Viñales, Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa. We gained many unforgettable memories - the countryside adventures and homeowners (casa particulares) were absolutely great.
If you only go for drinks and fun, you won't notice - however once you get in touch with local administrative or services (like taxi drivers, the bus operator Viazul or police), you get very disappointed to see that you are being seen as a "walking wallet" everywhere. Which wouldn't be that bad, if you got what you pay for (see Switzerland or Thailand). Perhaps in few years they will re-learn the manners...
